The Wii U is new territory for both the Minecraft brand and Telltale - Minecraft for the Wii U was only released a few weeks ago. Telltale confirmed that Story Mode would be their first game on the Wii U back when Story Mode was announced - but they've been relatively quiet about it. Earlier today, Telltale Games announced that Wii U owners can finally enjoy Story Mode, starting January 21st.
However there is one big catch - only the first episode will be available upon release, as Telltale will make the rest available in the near future. That's a bit of a hard pill to swallow for Wii U players, who have already had to wait months after other platforms received Story Mode.
