Minecraft 1.8 was released in September of 2014, a whopping 530 days ago. The entire year of 2015 went by without a Minecraft PC release. During this time, Minecraft PE has gone from version 0.9 to nearly 0.13, the console editions have received several major updates, and Minecraft: Story Mode was released.
