Infinite worlds in Minecraft PE 0.9.0 are somewhat demanding, and devices that have single-core processors are having trouble catching up. A few days ago Tommaso said this on his Twitter account:
This was originally supposed to be in the MCPE 0.9.1 that Apple never approved in time. Today the 0.9.2 update for all devices, including Apple devices, are going out. We have tested creating infinite worlds on those devices, and it results in the above screenshot. The error reads, "Unsupported on this device."
We tested it on an iPad 1, but we assume the iPhone 4 and iPod 4 show the same error. See the source link for the original tweet.

I'm removing infinite worlds from the iPad1, iPhone4 and iPod4. They are an advanced and unstable option, but everyone just uses them!

ReplyDeleteInfinite worlds worked perfectly on my ipod 4 once i turned my view distance and graphics down and i loved it now i cant play it and im pissed because i dont want to spend 400$ on a new device to play minecraft
ReplyDeleteLook at where the graphics and that crap is if u scroll down there should be a button that's on that says limit world size flick it off
ReplyDeleteHow
ReplyDeleteHey it really works go to settings as where it says fancy graphics that page scroll paste hide HUD or Watever and unmark the button that says limit world size than then go to new world and advanced and it should let u press infinite it has a little lag for the first minute or so then its fine
ReplyDeleteOh and theirs 2 Nathan's
ReplyDeleteGo to your minecraft settings toggle limit world size off
ReplyDeleteA big bug is that on infinte works if you die while having a bunch of stuff you click respawn and it just sits there
ReplyDeleteput infinite worlds back on i loved it and it was not Lagging but now it doesnt work at all it just says this device does not support it. what do i do to make it work again
ReplyDeleteNO NO NO I want infinite world back!!!!!! My cousin turned it back on but the game keeps crashing, closing altogether, and lagging
ReplyDeleteIf it keeps crashing, why do you want it?
ReplyDeleteGo into the Advanced options to turn it on.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteNo problem
ReplyDeleteI found a seed off youtube you go straight a little ways and should see the village go to the well and dig down and bam a stronghold the seed is 805967637
ReplyDeleteU are the best, thanks bud
ReplyDeleteNp older devices got the fair shake at infinite worlds too
ReplyDeleteyou are a life saver! THanks :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, that worked. So far so good for my nephew on a ipod touch 4th gen with 0.9.2
ReplyDeleteThat block was put there to warn about the requirements of infinite worlds on older devices, it's a warning. You can re-enable infinite worlds in the third tab of settings. Un mark "limit world size". Turn your view distance down! ;)
ReplyDeleteI DONT GIVE A CRAP IF THEY ARE UNSTABLE ON I POD 4 AND I PHONE 4!!! THEY DESERVE TO BE PUT BACK ON!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeleteWhat? That makes me so mad. One of the things i was looking forward to most in 0.9.0 is caves and villages. Now what's the point of 0.9.0? Fix the problem because that's so aggravating.
ReplyDeleteTurn down your view distance and graphics and infinite worlds should work fine; lol I'm your cousin that did this
ReplyDeleteWorks fine on my iPod 4 if I turn my graphics and view distance down.
