Just as Telltale Studios promised, they have released more information about Minecraft: Story Mode. In fact, they even released the first trailer for the title.

The video doesn't give much away in terms of characters or storyline, but Telltale Games is here to help out in their blog post. Here's the game description from their site:
Minecraft: Story Mode will feature voice actors including Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. You may recognize a few of them, I recognized Paul Reubens as Pee-wee Herman before the trailer was over.
Telltale Games reassures fans that this game was given Mojang's seal of approval, the CEO of Telltale Games saying, "We've worked closely with the amazing team at Mojang to ensure this story is a natural fit for the Minecraft world fans already know and love." Unfortunately, no release date has been announced, with Telltale slating it's release for "later this year".
The trailer appears to be making fans apprehensive this isn't just a cash-in opportunity for the Minecraft brand, at the time of writing it had about the same number of likes and dislikes on YouTube. There will be a Minecon panel about Minecraft: Story Mode later today, so we expect some more information about the game to be revealed there.
