The Nether confirmed for Minecraft: Pocket Edition

After players wishing for it for years, the Nether was finally confirmed for Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Minecraft PE dev Tommaso dropped the bomb earlier today on his Twitter account:

Technically speaking, the Nether has been confirmed for a long time - but never a concrete date or any evidence of work being done on it. This is the first evidence that the Nether is being actively developed for Pocket Edition, complete with Ghasts too.

Unfortunately, Tommaso was reluctant to reveal any more information:

So that's about all the information we have for now, but it's a good guess that if the Nether is close to being completed it could arrive in 0.12.0. Stay tuned.

    This was on the top of my wishes for MCPE and it's finallyn going to happen
    But why can't they just add it onto as a surprise for 0.11.0 its already finished!

    Ok this is great and all, really excited! .... BUT WHERES THE HUNGER BAR MOJANG? I can't fully enjoy survival without worrying about starving to death. It plays a big role! There have been skimpy updates like beetroot and dirt roads... please hunger bar...
